  Just finished a nice meal at CDB's and it was a good experience. The best part was the food, which is the best anyone can hope for at a restaurant. We ordered the Meat Lovers and the Bacon pizza along with a giant salad. Both pizzas were great and the salad was very unique. The downside was the darkness of the restaurant. I expected a bear to crawl out of a corner of the restaurant from hibernation at any point. So dark! Mix in a lamp or two. The wait staff was not overly friendly, but did get everything we asked for and took care of a bad soda mix for us. The price is a bit heavy, but not too far off base.

  This is one of the weirdest amalgamations of a place I've ever been in. The staff was friendly but I did not pick up a super safe sushi vibe. The establishment smelled like dirty mop water & the counters all the way around the bar were sticky. The patio outside has great potential; someone just needs to try to make it nice. There's only a couple of tables out there.
    The bathroom was clean enough, but not sparkling clean. I didn't order food (pizza & sushi are both available). The interior was very dark with a slightly shady vibe.
    This place is close to USF & could be really cool - & I'm all about supporting local businesses; this spot just sadly falls short of expectations.
    Will it stop me from returning? Possibly, although drinks are cheap & staff seems very nice.
    Next time maybe I'll be able to see more.

  First let me say, I was born and raised in Tampa. I grew up eating CDBs and I continued frequenting CDBs when my kids were little.
  I relocated out of state 13 years ago and hadn't been to CDBs until today.
  Disappointment is a small word to describe how I felt when I left.
  We walked in to loud music in the bar and had to ask to sit in the dining room to the right, away from the noise, as we had my elderly mother-in-law with us.
  It took 15 minutes to get someone to come over to take our drink order, and that only happened because I went to the bar area and asked for someone. The hostess took the drink order and acted surprised that no one had come over to help us, which was quite funny considering that about 10 minutes later our waitress came barreling in the doorway rushing around, obviously running late.
  She came over and was in a huff saying she got stuck on traffic. Her 'in a huff' behavior continued. She was nice enough, but clearly too stressed out to handle customers.
  My food should've come with bread and a salad. I got neither UNTIL I asked for the bread, which was way overdone. My food didn't come out as ordered and was pretty gross looking. I had to send it back. The rest of the food was edible but not nearly worth what we paid and not good authentic Italian food, for sure.
  The service was EXTREMELY slow and the restaurant was old, dirty and outdated. I was embarrassed that I suggested this place to begin with.
  After going to the bathroom, I was left worrying about what the kitchen looked like and whether or not my food was prepared in a clean environment. The bathroom was more than disgusting and there was a gaping hole in the ceiling where the tile should've been.
  I will NEVER EVER EVER eat at this establishment again!

  I loved this spot when I was in college. I have given it a chance a number of times in the last few years and have been extremely disappointed. Service is awful. Many items forgotten. Sampler appetizer was like cold hockey pucks. I gave it one last chance last night and sad to say will not be back. Worse is that it was a celebration dinner for my sons graduation and was a disappointment to say the least.

  Our server heather was awful.  Took 30 minutes after we finished eating to get the bill and then we were charged for extra cheese without being told there was an upcharge.  Two days later we find out our credit card number was stolen and someone bought herself a new tattoo.  Will NEVER be returning to CDB
